Our week

It wasn't a particularly busy week, but we had some fun and they did a lot on our house.
On Monday we made Halloween cookies. This has been a tradition in my family and since my wife loves sugar cookies so much, this will be something we do every year now.
Showing off our mad decorating skills
It's now less than a week later and how many cookies do we have left? That's right - none.
House update. A lot happened this week. First of all - probably the thing we're most excited about: Kitchen Cabinets! We're really pleased with our choice of stain here. You can also see that they installed our recessed lighting and the nook light fixture.
Makayla loves her stroller. Behind her you can see our fence that they put up this week. Fancy grey cinder blocks. No expense spared. We're still waiting for the gate.
They painted the outside stucco and gave us our real front door too.
First picture of our back yard - all fenced in. Hopefully they remove the handicapped parking sign you see on the ground. It's been there since we bought the lot.
A view into the family room. They also put our recessed lighting in there, and most of the electrical outlets/rocker switches are in now.
Our dining room with the stunning light. They also painted the inside.

We're getting closer and closer. It's only going to be about another month or so before we can move in. Kind of crazy but we're excited to be homeowners.
Makayla is getting closer and closer to walking every day. A few weeks ago she decided she would finally walk around the house while tightly clenching our fingers. She's getting more brave every day taking very small steps before face planting on the carpet. Here's a video of the hand holding walk.

I love the roof of your house. It's looking good. But not as good as those cookies since I'm dieting...again!!

Ohhh, your cabinets do look nice! I love the color. The backyard looks pretty big too! I love Makayla's little laugh at the end of that video - so funny.

Mmmm those cookies do look so yummy, I like the progress on the house. And the peek a boo game never gets old. She is getting so big. I just love those little pig tails.
