Fall Colors

Jessica and I recently returned from a trip to the Northwest. We arrived in time to enjoy some of the vibrant fall colors. When we got to my parents' house in Portland, I decided to take the camera out around their yard and neighborhood to capture some of the colors. Unfortunately in Austin it seems like the leaves stay green until some day in November when they all turn brown and fall off. It's sad! The leaves were really nice looking this past week. Enjoy.

A bush - not in my parents' yard

A small bush in my parents' front yard
A rhododendron in the front of the house
The maple tree in the back yard
The front of my parent's house (and the house I grew up in from age 10)

Down the street just a short way - this guy's yard had a lot of contrasting colors
This is probably my favorite one
Red and green - getting closer to Christmas
Actually - this one looks more like Christmas

The fall leaves pictures are gorgeous. It was nice to see the house where you grew up too...it's really pretty. I liked the pictures of your family and think that in spite of your grandmother's passing away, it was a good little mini vacation for the three of you.

I love the changing leaves. I think that Autumn is my favorite season...too bad Austin doesn't have more changing leaves. Nice pictures, they look quite artistic and professional.
