Makayla's recent activities

Ever since she started crawling a few weeks ago, Makayla's activity level has increased dramatically. She seems to be interested in anything and everything. Especially electronic cords. Here's some of the recent happenings.

Makayla loves going into the kitchen. Whether playing with the rug or emptying the Tupperware cabinet, endless fun can be had on the kitchen floor. Love the "Who?...Me?" look on her face.
Standing up by the couch is another favorite activity. Not pictured: The TV remote she's trying to reach.
Staying with the "standing up next to stuff" motif, our cotton-soft marble and glass tables are another favorite spot for Makayla to test her unsteady ankles and balance. This also works as a measuring stick for both "how thick Makayla's skull is" and "How loud Makayla can cry when she falls into the coffee table." Good times. This happens to be another spot where the remote controls live. And the baby monitor. And yes, that's one of our end tables on the patio outside. Don't ask.
Teeth! She's had these for a while, but another favorite is showing them off. And biting things. And eating things she shouldn't...like old Cheerios she's thrown off her high chair and carpet fuzz. We've learned she also enjoys raisins. A trait she did not get from her Mother.
Looking cute is another one of Makayla's recent activities. She also looks a little mischievous here. Maybe she just pulled all the DVDs off the shelf.
When she's naughty we put her into solitary confinement. Ha! Kidding. She was laughing the whole time she was in there.
Makayla's first fort?
Other recent activities not caught on camera: Playing peek-a-boo with Mom and Dad; Playing hide-and-seek with Mom and Dad. Basically preferring Mom to Dad.
Makayla also had a doctor's appointment this week. I don't remember the specifics, but she's short. Shocker I know.

It's so fun when they get moving! They entertain themselves a lot better, but your house is a LOT more messy and cluttery. Good times!

She's looking good. Looking more like a toddler and much less like a newborn.
