Makayla turns One!!!

It's hard to believe that a year has passed since Makayla joined our family. She turned one on Thursday. My parents came to hot Phoenix primarily for this event. Makayla seemed to enjoy her small celebration.

We then moved on to the "cake". Jess made a bunch of cupcakes for Makayla's birthday. Makayla wasn't even scared of the candle.
This poor cupcake has no idea what it's in for...
On the hands and face...not too bad so far... Makayla is sporting an awesome chocolate soul patch.
Hmm...the cupcake has now crumbled under the continuous onslaught. This is getting ugly. Makayla now sports a mustasche and a chocolate belt on her tummy.
Avert your eyes...it's not a pretty scene for our friend the birthday cupcake.
