My Dad got this picture of Makayla climbing into the entertainment center to grab the TV cords. Jessica has since used her creativity to create a cloth barrier so Makayla can't see the cords back there anymore. Now she doesn't crawl up there - go figure. My wife is very smart.
A cute picture of Makayla with Grandma. No flash required thankfully.
Swimming one morning at 8 AM. It's nice to do this in the summer, but here we have to do it early.
Makayla trying to get a tan.
My Mom read about the Queen Creek Olive company so we went down there and took a tour. They tell you all about the process of making olive oil and have a sampling bar where you can try stuffed green olives (not recommended - they're very bitter) and the different olive oils they produce (recommended - they're very tasty). I admit I was skeptical about this field trip, but aside from Google Maps taking us 20 minutes in the wrong direction, it was worth it.
Makayla with one of her pony-tails and a nice laugh.
Love the sunsets we get out here. This is from our apartment balcony.
Thanks again Mom and Dad for spending some of your first days as "retired folk" with us in hot Arizona. We know you'll be back when it's cold and rainy October through April.
